V for Vendetta - by James McTeigue

Hello!

Today, I want to talk about a film : 'V for Vendetta' because I saw it on Thursday evening! This film was directed by James McTeigue and written by 'The Wachowski Brothers' : the film is based on the 1982 comic book of the same name by Alan Moore and David Lloyd. The scene takes place in London in a near future dystopian society in the 2030's. At the beginning, the spectator follows Evey Hammond's character (played by Natalie Portman). But the central figure of the film is 'V' : a charismatic freedom fighter (played by Hugo Weaving). He leads a fight for the freedom and against the oppression by government. Because at that time, London is under a fascist government. Political prisoners, homosexuals and other undesirables are imprisoned in concentration camps. In the evening of November the 5th, 'V' meets Evey Hammond. On the very evening, 'V' organise an explosion and that announce the beginning of many events..
He wants to show to her the 'hidden face' of the fascist government.

That is a fascinating film! There is a lot of suspense and I love it! There is a connection between Evey and 'V', it's very intense. 'V' is full of hatred against the fascist government, but he is a gentle person with Evey. As we go along, 'V' becomes a protector for Evey. Evey is played by Natalie Portman, she is a very good actress, and she embodies the character with grace and intensity.
In the film, there is a dark atmosphere and I like the scenery. I like the costume and the mask of 'V' because they make a mysterious impression. In the film, the 'V's mask is a symbol of rebellion against the power.

So, you can give me your opinion about that film!

Good bye!
