Begin again

Yesterday I saw 'Begin Again', and when the film finished I was like "Omg I want to talk about it on the Wave !".
'Begin Again' is not just a boring romantic comedy that you will forget. But to understand, you need to see it ! I love this film because it is natural and musical (by the way the soundtrack is amazing too).
The story : Dan Mulligan (Mark Ruffalo) is a record label executive living in New York City who is estranged from his wife Miriam (Catherine Keener) and struggling to keep up with the changing music industry. After being fired from his job, he goes on a drinking binge which leads him to a bar in the East Village where he encounters Gretta James (Keira Knightley, who does her own singing), a young and fiercely independent songwriter who has just broken up with her long-time boyfriend and songwriting partner Dave Kohl (Adam Levine), a successful musician who had an affair with one of his producers. Captivated by Gretta's music, Dan offers to sign her to his former record label, and although she initially refuses, she reconsiders the offer and agrees.
'Begin Again' is an ode to music and to New York. In the film, we see the characters playing music in New York, for New York. The album (made by Gretta and Dan) is pure and authentic : it talks about Gretta, her feelings and her story. She expresses herself with music. That's why Dan spotted Gretta : she's authentic, like her music.
These characters are not overrated by the film director, they could be real, Dan and Gretta have some feelings that we could have.
At the end of the film, we see that thanks to their friendship, these Dan and Gretta can "begin again", and they start a new long way.
Before seeing the film, I was a little bit depressed, but now I am re-motivated. So I just want to say "thank you" to 'Begin Again' !
